Mexico

Mexico is a place of timelessness where contrasts of simplicity and grandeour intrigue all of my senses. The photographs that make up these projects are from on-going self-assignments to document Mexico, its people and its culture.

Through projects depicting Pilgrims who, separated by gender, engage in retreats and rituals shunned by modernity to celebrations of life and death, I have traveled throughout Mexico witnessing a rich tapestry of life woven from the mingling of traditions and cultures since the pre-Hispanic era. This work is focused on capturing and revealing how and why Mexico continues to lure me.
