La Brea Bakery
This project was a commission to create a series of black and white portraits of bakers engaged in the fascinating processes of bread-making. La Brea Bakery started in Los Angeles and is widely credited as the pioneer and leader of the artisan bread movement in America.

Historic Homes and Landmarks in the City of Los Angeles
The Getty Conservation Institute undertook a two-part study of Los Angeles’ historic and cultural resources that reach from the Tujunga Rock House to San Pedro’s Vinegar Hill. One of the aspects that made this assignment very engaging was the challenge to include people whenever possible.

Point Lobos, California
Nature creates a remarkable art gallery in seashore and stone at Point Lobos. A self assignment, this series of photographs was made where Edward Weston often worked seven decades ago and, thanks to his activism, very little has changed.
